Our Donor Policy

Our Statement to Donors

Your Relationship with Prime Produce Limited

At Prime Produce Limited, we are grateful for your partnership in advancing our mission. Donations, whether monetary or in-kind, are accepted in the spirit of shared values—not transactional influence. All solicitations for support are conducted with respect for your interests, free of coercion or pressure, and with a commitment to transparency and integrity.

Please note: donating to Prime Produce Limited does not confer any influence or control over our programming, communications, or decision-making. PPL’s independence and integrity are essential to our work, and they remain non-negotiable.

Your Rights as a Donor

As a donor, you have the right to:

  • Be informed of PPL’s mission, values, and donor policies;
  • Know how your donation will be used;
  • Receive prompt and appropriate acknowledgment and recognition via receipt;
  • Request that your donation remain anonymous;
  • Expect respectful treatment from PPL staff, volunteers, and representatives;
  • Know whether those soliciting donations are volunteers, employees, or contractors;
  • Request that your name be removed from our mailing list or to receive communications in specific formats;
  • Ask questions and receive honest, timely answers.

We recommend that all donors seek independent legal and financial advice before making any gift.

Privacy and Transparency

Prime Produce Limited will treat all personal and financial information with confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or share our donor lists. You may request that your name be removed from mailing lists or that your gift be anonymous. Your preferences for how you are contacted and recognized will be honored.

However, in alignment with our values of transparency and accountability, PPL and its affiliates retain the right to make public factual statements about any entity (donor, corporation, organization, or otherwise), particularly when such disclosure is necessary to clarify truth, call out wrongdoing, or protect the integrity of our community.

Supporting PPL is not a shield from public accountability. We do not offer preferential treatment in exchange for support.

Limitations and Restrictions on Gifts

We will not accept gifts that:

  • Violate our corporate charter or jeopardize our 501c3 nonprofit status;
  • Are too difficult or expensive to administer relative to their value;
  • Create unacceptable risk or reputational harm;
  • Impose restrictions inconsistent with our mission or values.

Acceptance of any donation is subject to review and approval by PPL-designated committee and/or our governing board.

Gift Acceptance Policy

We welcome unrestricted gifts and also recognize that some donors wish to direct their support to specific programs. In such cases, we honor the intended use of restricted gifts, provided the purpose aligns with PPL’s mission and capacity. However, as certain programs evolve or conclude without utilizing all of their resources, PPL reserves the right to utilize funds at its discretion if the original program is no longer in service.

No donation shall be accepted that compromises the independence, ethics, or integrity of Prime Produce Limited. Any gift or partnership that risks real or perceived undue influence will be declined.
